DR. PEPPER CRUISE - MAY 100% SOCIAL - PAGE 2

Saturday, May 8, 2004

Photos labeled CinBob were provided by Cindy & Bob Morrison

Photos labeled LA were provided by Linda Anthony

Photos labeled MAC were provided by Doug & Glenda McMahan

We cruised down Hwy 377 thru Crescent, Granbury, and on to Stephenville before stopping

What to do, what to do???

We called a highly recommended BBQ place in Stephenville to make reservations for lunch but when they stated they had a 500 person banquet that they were catering and that they couldn't accommodate us, they provided a competitor's phone number.

That restaurant was called and a reservation made for lunch... we thought all was set, at least until we got into town.  We called to confirm and the restaurant we thought we booked at (Hard-8), had no record of us - the number they had given us was for a BBQ place in Glenrose, 30 miles away.

Time to get out and decide what to do

Discussing and deciding, in a funeral home parking lot in Stephenville

Don & Karla discussing other options

Some even sought entertainment while they waited

We split into small groups and sought out lunch, to meet back in the parking lot in one hour, for departure on to Dublin.

When we returned to the parking lot, there was a 1961 C1 that had stopped by, a local couple that had seen the Vettes in town.  This 1961 was all original, un-restored and with mid-80's on the odometer!

Time to head out again, on to Dublin heading down 377 to Dublin
