January 4, 2006 found 11 Vettes and owners heading out west of the Metroplex, for a 145+ mile trip.

Today's CCP Points

The Driver's Meeting was held at 8:45 AM and departure was at 9:00 AM sharp, leaving from the Albertson's on Hwy 377 & I-20.

The first two planned stops didn't work out, one due to safety issues of where to park and the 2nd was because we couldn't find the Historical Marker... we found a rest break though, which several were ready for.

Due to lights and intersections, we sometimes have to stop to get the group back together

Thurber, TX was our Lunch stop, after taking in the history of the T&P Smokestack

Rusty & Dee had our tables ready when we arrived.  The food was good and it was a good choice for lunch.
