Practice Autocross & Funkhana in Mineral Wells, TX

We would like to Thank all of you that came out to participate and/or work at the Practice Autocross & Funkhana

Each year, we host at least one "practice autocross / timing" event to enable us to get ready for our annual NCCC Event but to also encourage newer members to come out and enjoy their Vettes, to see how they really handle - in a safe environment. 

This also provides our members that are competing this year an opportunity to test out any modifications they made over the off-season 

This year we also added a Funkhana - with Kim West & Karyn Fowler as the Co-Chairs

Mother Nature had us very concerned all week with the threat of rain all weekend - although we really need the rain, she finally came thru for us and held the rain off until a few days after the event.  While we did have an overcast, humid and windy day, it was much better than rain!

The day started before sunrise, with track setup.  Many thanks to Bruce, Yvette, Paul, Viola Lisa, Lee, Bobby, Manda and others who helped setup and take down the cones
Cindy Morrison Headed up the Event Registration for both pre-registrations and walk-ins - being assisted by Carol, Manda & Linda
	A drive-thru lap was provided for all drivers
	Bobby & Manda's Vette wasn't out of the shop so they brought their 4-wheelers to help out	...but Bobby, Vettes can't run a course out there
A BIG Thank You to all that came out to work corners; some of which where Doc, Roy, Hector, Beth, Craig & Tom
	Bob & Cindy are no strangers to autocross events - seen here enjoying "CINBOB"
		Scott Wheeler handled the Starter function - he is regular for us in that role.  We had others signed up for relieving him but he didn't seem to need it
	Don is also no stranger to autocrossing - he is tough competition
		Neal was out tearing up the track with their C4 Coupe; sorry Eileen couldn't make it today - they are certainly no strangers to autocross - better watch out for them around the NCCC events this year
