Doug & Glenda

Event Photography labeled Visit MACs Digital Art & Photography Website was provided by Doug & Glenda

We headed out on Thursday - the rest of our group is driving up on Friday

The route out was to just get there - to start kicking back and relaxing

You can definitely tell when you are in the pretty party of Arkansas

They have had some rain this year... last year we drove down in this area, where the road is underwater.

just before arriving in Hot Springs, there is a neat little pond off to the left - in an RV Park - called Mill's Pond.  Glenda snapped these pictures as I drove across the bridge on the far side of the pond

The Azaleas were everywhere and in full bloom

Driving into town, the welcome banner was there to welcome you to the Hot Springs Corvette Weekend event

We stayed at the Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa, the "Host Hotel" again this year

...a view from the table we sat at on the front porch of the Arlington - great view of the main drag, Central

from the check in area, looking up, you see the deck (pool area) which is located off the 7th floor

a view out of our room (6th floor, looking down to Central) - great view to spot Vettes, like this '74 roadster

Early-Bird Registration took  place from 4-7pm on the 2nd floor of the Arlington

...I had to wander down to ogle the '74 roadster that was sitting on the street outside the hotel

The same band as last year, played each night at the Arlington - not to mention lots of door prizes were given away at the Early Bird Party

a view of the Arlington Thursday night
In the median (on Central) in front of the Arlington, you will find the Mother Nature statue; dedicated to Hot Springs back in 1993

We took a walk down Central to find a place to eat dinner; we ended up at the Porterhouse for great salads, steaks and winewe then walked back to the Arlington via Bath House Row; only one of the original ones is open for business, the Buckstaff...we did take a tour of the "Fordyce" bath house on Friday - very interesting

Sitting up on the 7th floor deck at the hotel later that cool/brisk evening, we watched the clouds pass by the full moon - one of the Arlington's towers are visible from back there as well
