12:45 PM Driver's Meeting & 1:00 PM Departure

a Special Thanks to Nathan (our Rep) at Bruce Lowrie Chevrolet for clearing off an area for us to meet before departing on Friday at 1:00 PM

    
we headed out of FW with 13 Vettes, a SAAB and an M Roaster 
    
our first leg stretch / pit stop was in Hamilton, TX
    
...from Hamilton, we headed out FM2005 over to Hwy 16
    
 ...in San Saba, we met a caravan of Model As as we turned to drive by the Courthouse & Jail 
    
 
    
The San Saba County Courthouse, 1911 is the style known as Texas Renaissance.the 1884 San Saba County Jail, the OLDEST WORKING JAIL in the United States
    
...on down Hwy 16 thru Llano, into Fredericksburg
    
 a slight detour as we arrived in Fredericksburg to drive by one of the Painted Churches of Texas, St Mary's Catholic Church 
    
...we strolled on thru Fredericksburg on the way to the hotel 
   
   
 

Today's Cruise: 224.8 miles

in our 6-speed C5 we averaged 26.2 MPG

 
    

  
the cruiser's checked into the Best Western, our "host hotel" for the weekend, some relaxed, some grabbed their CCP Point for Friday's cruise
  
...after checking in, many of us gathered at in the pool area to visit and un-wind from the twisty back roads on the way down
  
    

reservations tonight were at the Rathskeller Restaurant, located in the basement of the historic Keidel Hospital building
  
After dinner, several of us walked across the street to enjoy a micro-brew at the Fredericksburg Brewing Company
