NASHVILLE RUN 

March 13-17, 2011 Cruisin' to Nashville, Lynchburg & Bowling Green

A few of us kicked around a quick trip to Nashville & Bowling Green, so we headed out on the cruise Sunday morning, after the SWR Awards Banquet (which CTV & CCT hosted), heading for Nashville - as our home base.
Monday morning we started by crusin' up to Bowling Green to the National Corvette Museum (NCM) were we also enjoyed a behind the scenes tour.
     
some new interactive displays since last time we were at the NCM Lots of really nice Vettes on display, some owned by the NCM and others on loan.
       
One Cowtown's bricks at the NCM, this one was placed here back in 2004, our 30th year.  The NCCC Kiosk that is resident in the NCM   
       
in our behind the scenes tour we enjoyed a visit to the preparation area; where all NCM Delivery Vettes are prepped they take photos of everyone and you have an option to purchase them
       
  Next we headed over to the Corvette Assembly Plant for our 11:30am tour

Cruisin' down to the Jack Daniels Distillery 
Tuesday we cruised on down to Lynchburg, TN where we enjoyed one of the best tours ever at the Jack Daniels Distillery - and no, not because they had samples; they don't.   
       
 
       



       
...more fun around Nashville
We enjoyed a tour of the Hermatige Andrew Jackson's home and grounds; good for a 3-point cruiser stop too   
       
...and what trip to Nashville would be complete without a night on the town.  Even on a Wednesday night there were 20+ honkey-tonks with live music.
