Wednesday 8/14
We headed out on the Moonshiner 28 from Fontanta, with the destination of Asheville, NC.
    
we altered our route a little since most of the group ran today's route on Tuesdaytime to head up to the Blue Ridge Parkway
    
a quick pit stop before we headed on up
    
...on over thru the Blue Ridge Parkway to Asheville, NC for the next adventure
of course we had to stop at the peak
the overlooks were breathtaking

After checking into the hotel and grabbing a bite to eat for lunch...

several of us headed back on the road (about 22 miles) to Chimney Rock State Park
495 steps to the top of Chimney Rock (the elevator was out)

The walk to Hickory Nut Falls was closed to the public.  We were able to enjoy this view of the 404' falls from the highway leading from Chimney Rock
