Always a Fun Event Location
The event was held on the old Army Helipad at the Mineral Wells Airport

5PM on Friday, the setup started, Robert Geyer delivered our club trailer, Paul Wolter with the CCT trailer; numerous workers showed up.

Then the bottom fell out of the sky.  The rain was blowing horizontal and there was 2-4" of water flowing across the surface

We had to take a break and head out to dinner and checked into the hotel while the storm blew thru.
when the rain quit, we headed back out to the track to setup

James West brought the rented camper to use for a Timing Facility

The Course was designed by Doug McMahan; it was setup on Friday evening after the storm blew thru.

Saturday Morning was CTV's Event (BRCC Sanctions)
Saturday morning, Rick Watson and others used a 380MPH commercial blower to clean "the line" and beyond in addition to chalking all the cones.

 Carlanne Hickman chaired Registration

David Gill headed up Tech Inspection with expertise from Doc Lambert

Doug McMahan provided Parade Laps to all participants.  The course was setup with one 3-cone chicane and 5 sweepers; .75 miles in length

Becky Clark chaired timing with assistance from Cydnie Geyer

Glenda McMahan chaired timing boards with assistance from various others

Doug McMahan was Saturday's Event Coordinator with Donald Hickman Co-Chairing - shown here holding the Driver's Meeting

Richard Downing co-chaired Corner workers with a small group of workers

empty rigs sat in the pits as the Vettes moved thru tech and over to the staging grid

The fog was letting up a little ...we were finally about where we could start the event

...and the day of competition is underway

David Clark was our starter for Saturday

David also spelled CCT's starter on Sunday
The Vettes were taking their assigned lanes in the staging area; with Rick Watson as chairperson

we had a small turnout for corner workers but they did a GREAT JOB!

A good vantage point to watch was a the end of the timing trailer

MW's finest usually stops by; this year was no differentbut officer ...honest I don't speed anywhere but here on the track
