The Funkhana
Carlanne Hickman
was the Chairperson for the Funkhana

The funkhana took you thru the typical stages of life as you'll see below

this was a non-driving funkhana but officially (per NCCC Rules) a Corvette must be involved in the event, so you started and ended in the Corvette.  Each team was allowed to make two runs.  Per NCCC Rules, there are four Classes of teams: A=Male / Female, B=Male / Male, C=Female / Female, D=Female / Male

Carlanne gave all the competitors a walk thru & explanation of the course and activities

START
The Driver and Navigator will start in the Corvette provided, buckled up in their seat belts. When the starter (Scott) gives the GO, either team member could Start the Stopwatch, then they will unbuckle and exit the Corvette (leave doors open).

Station #1 – Get Dressed for the Wedding
Driver puts on groom’s attire and Navigator puts on bride’s attire.  Both proceed to the chapel to exchange rings.  Driver must toss ONE ring onto cone.  Navigator retrieves rings for Driver until one stays on the cone; no leaners.  Both proceed to station 2

Station #2 - Pack for the Honeymoon
Navigator must fold and pack clothing in suitcase and close it completely with zipper.  When packed Driver will receive 2 airline tickets and will pull suitcase to the ticker counter. Both proceed to station 3.

Station #3 – Go on the Honeymoon
Navigator
sits in chair with arms extended to the sides to form airplane wings while Driver pushes the plane through the obstacle course to complete the honeymoon trip.  Both proceed to station 4

Station #4 – Build a House
It takes teamwork to build a solid house so the Driver & Navigator will work to attach the two sides to the incomplete house.  When finished both proceed to station 5

Station #5 – Have Kids
The average household has 2+ children.  To determine their gender Navigator must toss TWO bags of either color into the hole (red is a girl and blue is a boy).  Driver will retrieve bags for Navigator if needed until two are captured.   Both proceed to station 6 as instructed below

Station #6 – Take Kids to Grandma's
Driver retrieves the two children from the hole in the board, places them in the stroller, and pushes them through the parenting pitfalls obstacle course.  After reaching the grandparent’s house, Navigator removes children and places them in grandparent’s lap.  BOTH Driver and Navigator remove wedding attire and place it in the box

FINISH
After completing Station #6, the Driver & Navigator returned to the Corvette (leaving doors open), buckle up and then either team member could stop the stopwatch.
