4th OF JULY PARADE - ARLINGTON, TX - 07/04/15 - PAGE 1 OF 2

Date: Saturday, July 4, 2015

 

An interest was expressed to the Arlington Parade Committee (after last year's parade) and they decided to create the Classic Car Category.  This then allowed Cowtown to participate in this, the 50th Anniversary Parade.

Being in the parade

Cowtown had 8 Vettes participating, 15 Members and 1 Visitors/Guests

We met south of the parade are to drive in as a group

meeting at 6:15-6:30 came very early
    

Preparation and Staging took place in the UTA Parking Lot

 

Cowtown Celebrating with a 7 Generation Corvette Theme

 

we had 14"x20" static clings made to promote the club - on the sidewalk side of each Vette.
    
 There were designated spots for each group in the staging area 
   
John & Cory's Grand Sport (John driving) was selected to carry one of the past year's Grand Marshalls in the parade
    
Doc (and Mary Anne) represented the C1 & Custom Corvette
    
Mickey & Patricia represented the C2 Corvette
    
Fred & Margaret represented the C3 Corvette
    
Doug & Glenda represented the C4 and Racing Corvettes
    
Raley & Jo Anne represented the C5 Corvette
    
Robert & Cydnie represented the C6 Corvette
    
Bill & Jane represented the C7 Corvette

 This parade being among the top 10 in the nation had elevated security measures 
    
The "Top Hats"...we got photo bombed while getting our group photo - can you find Walt?
