The Funkhana
Carlanne Hickman
was the Chairperson for the Funkhana

The funkhana took you to the beach as you'll see below

this was a non-driving funkhana but official (per NCCC Rules) a Corvette must be involved in the event, so you started and ended in the Corvette.  Each team was allowed to make two runs.
Per NCCC Rules, there are four Classes of teams: A=Male / Female, B=Male / Male, C=Female / Female, D=Female / Male

Carlanne gave all the competitors (that wanted to follow along) a walk thru & explanation of the course and activities

START
The Driver and Navigator will start in the Corvette provided, buckled up in their seat belts. When the starter (David Gill) gives the GO, either team member could Start the Stopwatch, then they will unbuckle and exit the Corvette (leave doors open).

Station #1 – Go Snorkling
Both Driver and Navigator will put on goggles and place snorkel (straw) in mouth.  They will both hop on board their ski-noodle and maneuver between the reefs (cones).  The ski-noodle cannot touch the ground.  If this happens, they must go back to the starting point and begin again.  Only one person can help hold the noodle up.  The other person must make swimming motions with their arms.  At the end of the course, both Driver and Navigator will remove the goggles, discard the snorkel, and place noodle on the ground.  Both proceed to station 2

Station #2 - Find the Black Pearl
Driver will reach in the diver's bag and remove pearls until a black pearl is found.  The DRIVER will then take the black pearl and place it in the bowl held by the tiki god (other table).  Both Driver and Navigator proceed to station 3.

Station #3 – Margarita Time
Both Driver and Navigator will use the scoops to fill up the margarita glass. The glass must be filled to the top rim without going over it. If it spills over the top, they must start over. Both proceed to station 4

Station #4 – Crabs for Dinner
Navigator
will toss lobsters (red bean bags) or blue crabs (blue bags) into the steam pot until TWO are in the pot. Driver will retrieve bags for Navigator if needed. Both proceed to station 5

Station #5 – Pack up and Leave the Beach
Both Driver and Navigator will pack up the beach supplies (fold up the chair, fold 2 beach towels, close the cooler) and place them in the cart. Either one can pull the cart through the cones and past the finish line

FINISH
After completing Station #5, the Driver & Navigator returned to the Corvette (leaving doors open), buckle up and then either team member could stop the stopwatch.
