September 5, 2005 / Monday D&D Rockin Rods Car Show I only took a few photos at the D&D Rockin' Rods show in Crowley today. They had a great turnout - about 75 entries with the proceeds being donated to Katrina relief for families relocated to our area. I spent 8 hours yesterday with Dale & Donna (D&D) and other volunteers at a small church in North Richland Hills sorting and organizing the incredible amount of donated clothing, toys and personal items. The families that arrive at the donation center are so grateful for everything and their stories of survival tug at your heart. The out-pouring of Texans generosity for their neighbors took the spotlight at the show as well with even more donations, both financial and tangible, being given. September 3, 2005 / Saturday Xtreme Corvettes Car Show Terry entered the Sports Car Class at the Xtreme Corvettes Show tonight and won 1st Place in his class! There were several interesting Cadillac CTS LS6 cars, a couple of Vipers, a '57 Chevy and of course Lots of Corvettes from all generations. Info & Photos were provided by Linda Walker |

July 16, 2005 / Saturday Christian Classic Cruiser's Car Show It was a great show although somewhat small for them due to the rain at 4:30. Luckily we arrived before the rain so we didn't have to drive through it which saved a bit on the clean up. The rain stopped around 6:00 and things dried up shortly thereafter. By the time we were done drying off the cars and getting set up the lot was dry as well. They had about 100 cars and a lot of Corvettes including Fred's twin. (Where were you Fred?) There were some new "Rods" there also. Even the Cockrell Hill Police came to show off their latest acquisition. We enjoyed visiting with our cruise friends and comparing notes on our recent modifications. Terry's lights and my "gold" drew a lot of attention from cruisers and visitors alike.
