The Royal Gorge and Bridge

If you have never cruised out and visited this attraction, it is well worth the detour on Hwy 50 out of Pueblo, Co.

The Greenfeders & Morrisons went to the Royal Gorge via the Royal Gorge Route Railroad

The Incline Railway was built in 1931 - a bi-directional 45 degree angle track, where the center rail is shared other than where the cars pass mid-way on their journey

The bronze plate on the bridge to have been built in 1929, it is still a very modern looking structure

Check out the Caravan of Vettes Going across the Bridge

The McMahan party arrived at the Gorge on Wednesday morning

A drive across the bridge was in order so Doug took the Vette with his Grandson Andrew while Jason drove the Yukon across

The sign tells the history including thatthe bridge was built in 1929 and is the World's highest suspension bridge

...some 1,053 feet below the bridge, you find the river

another CCP point, not to mention taking time to look at the intriguing Water Clock (it is 1 of 3 in the world) - the bridge is back behind the clock and Vette

We took the Incline Railway down to the bottom of the Gorge.  More rafters came down the river while we were there

an awesome vantage point to view the bridge from
