The Midland Tunnels | Before arriving into Buena Vista, Co, Hwy 91 was shut down for 45+ minutes due to a rock slide, after a storm that dumped what appeared to be a mixture of hail and snow. We missed the storm but we did get into the rain and lots of mud and muck on the highway; even after the dozers crapped most of it up | | | | |  |  | Just North of Buena Vista, Co, on Hwy 371 you will find the 4 Midland tunnels 2 3 4 - this series of tunnels were built 1887 by the Colorado Midland Railroad |  | | |
