...cruisin' on down the road

Our next stop was the Hamilton County Courthouse, the first one burned and this one was built in 1887 out of native limestone.

since we had lost a couple of hours, we altered our route, leaving out one really fun back road from Hamilton down to Burnet

We stopped at the Burnet County Courthouse and Jail (across the street), which was built in 1884, for a B city and county

THE EAGLES

We arrived at the site of the Eagles, where we spotted the two Eaglets.  Everyone watched intently as we would see an Eaglet's head pop up every now and then...  rumor has it that the Eaglets hatched on 1/4.
I caught Hector and Don further down looking at the eaglets - only to catch me taking their picture with the big zoom

We watched as one of the adult Eagles brought food in for the Eaglets

...the food was fed to each of the Eaglets - with dusk falling upon us quickly.  Unfortunately, my lens was focusing on the twigs in front of the Eagles, reducing the clarity.

The food was gone now and the adult Eagle left the nest.
The sun was setting fast and we watch for a few more minutes before departing for Llano where supper awaited.

Supper Saturday night found us at Cooper's BBQ - some GREAT old time Pit BBQ and all the fixin's

We stayed at the Best Western in Llano, located just west of Cooper's BBQ

On to Sunday
