 | Back on the road, we headed North about 8 miles, to start the Bluebonnet Trail ride | | |
| | The roads were fun, even though they weren't fast | |
 | | | |
| | | | |
 | however, this was the biggest patch of bluebonnets we saw on the trail. Next weekend will probably be better however many of us are out of town. | |
| | | | |
 | | we stuck to enjoying the scenic drive while looking at the sparse clumps of bleubonnets | |
| | | | |
|
| The Ennis Visitors Center did tell us where there was a good showing of bluebonnets just before crossing over Lake Bardwell, on Hwy 34 | | Cheri & Scott were taking turns in the photos |
| | | | |
 | | other couples followed | |
| | | | |
 | ...then Ruth, Nancy and Glenda tried to hide in the bluebonnets | |
| | | | |
 | | | |
| | | | |
 | | | |
| | | | |
 | | | |
| | | | |
 | we departed the nature area, heading back to Hwy 34; yes it was paved but covered by cut grass, making it look like an unpaved road. | |
| | | | |
|
 | ...from there, we headed on down Hwy 34 off to enjoy a few more scenic twisting and turning back roads. | |
| | | | |
|
 | The last stop before heading back was a Historical Church (First Methodist) in Bethal; you come upon the church after twisting around the cemetery on the opposite side of the road
After this stop, we headed into Maypearl and then up Hwy 157 into Mansfield, were everyone went their own directions. | |
