The Celebration was held at Red's Roadhouse

Jo Anne Smith (Committee Chairperson) worked to obtain the venue & menu
The preparation for tonight's festivities started pre-4pm this afternoon - lots to do!

The Decorating Committee led by Deborah Jacksondid a great job!did a great job!
  
   
 Timeline 
 

6:00 to 7:00 2 games included the Valve cover and remote control races

The Cash Bar also started at 6:00 pm

7:00 to 8:00 Dinner
8:00 to 8:30 40th Celebration Program
8:30 to finish of games (~10:00) 3 games played, hot air races, pin the tire on the corvette and ring toss.
10:00 Door Prizes & Awards given for Games

 
   
Mary Pittman (our club Historian) had a selection of Cowtown's History available for members to look thru
    
Group Photos from the 25th, 30th, 35th and 40th Anniversaries were on display

Cowtown's 40th Anniversary Group Photo.  Orders will be taken at the June Membership Meeting, $30 for a photo print, complete with identification sheet

    

Let the Celebration Begin!
Jane Buehler worked Registration / Check-in where each attendee received a Goodie Bag 
   
 Barb Greenfeder thought outside the box when creating the Goodie Bags.
...which a 40th Anniversary Pet Rock 
that had your raffle number on the back
 
    
Attendees and Guests received a 40th Anniversary Memorabilia item; a custom deck of playing cards   40th Committee Members were recognized with one "special" deck of cards for all their hard work to make this happen
 Artwork created by Doug ...Glenda's employer printed the cards
 
 
Members and Guests were now starting to arrive, visit while they looked around all the memorabilia. 
    
Throughout the evening the Club History was a favored attraction  
    

Game Time
Doug McMahan hosted the Valve Cover Races; which seemed to be a big hit.


This event was a distance event rather than a side-by-side elimination style event
    
Don Wells handled the Remote Control CorvetteRacess- by the time this started, it was time for food - by the time this started, it was time for food 
    

The Meal

a build your own burger / chicken sandwich buffet bar complete with the fixins, along with salad, sweet and regular potato fries, etc. 
    
What celebration would be complete without a cake? Mary, Cydnie & Carlanne took care of cutting and serving the cake
