July 3, 2006

Doc took ANN to the Granbury 4th of July Celebration Classic Car Show @ Home Depot  (D&D Rockin Rods) in Granbury, TX;  7-11PM.  We were lucky - the rain stayed away.  But it was waaayy after my bedtime before I got home!  There were 147 entries, no classes, participant voting for the Top 12 with some other awards too.  Jan & John Brefczynski were there too, as were a few from Lone Star.

It was less than 100 miles;  received a Host special "Top Late Model" award (plaque) - rather nice!.  Here is a picture:

Doc took ANN to the Bruner Motors Car Show (D&D Rockin Rods) in Stephenville, TX. It was under covered parking, Bruner Motors provided free water, soft drinks, hamburgers, and cookies! There were ~100 entries, no classes, participant voting for the Top 12.

It was less than 100 miles; received a Top 12 award (we voted for 12 but I think they awarded more than 12). Here are a few pictures:

June 17-18, 2006

Doc took ANN to the Metcalf Car & Bike Show at the OKC Fairgrounds. This was advertised as an ALL Indoor & Air-conditioned two day show. It was, but in three separate buildings and the "a/c" was not real efficient. Plus it rained/stormed the Fri night prior. It was a judged show - no classes- just the Top 10 Awards. Attendance was ~ 125 total including a few cycles. A gun & knife show was in an adjacent building and the other event going on at the fairground was an equestrian show.

It was 212 miles one way; a two day event; & received a Top 10 of Show Award.

Here are some photos - including some of the competition; and one of static display airplanes (too bad they weren't "single-seat fighters")!
