Last year we made this cruise in one day - this year it was a two-day cruise and it worked much better.  We made two trips out to the eagles which were really different experiences and it worked out great, not to mention the great time visiting and getting to know each other on Saturday evening.

Cowtown had 10 Vettes and 18 Members and 1 Guest that participated.

Participants:

David & Patricia Gill

Don & Virginia Littlefield

Kerry & Nancy McGovern

Doug (Cruise Sponsor) & Glenda McMahan

Craig Murphy & Poly Guedry (Visitor)

Scott & Sheri Pierce

Joe & Anna Rosales

Hector Sandoval

Carol Savage & Jim Jones

Frank & Lei Testa

...and I broke my own Cruisin' slogan - "The CRUISE IS NOT about the destination... IT IS ABOUT what you see along the way!!!" ...we did have a destination on this cruise

We met in the Albertson's parking lot at Hwy 377 & I-20

The 9:00 AM departure worked out great and today looks like it is going to be an awesome day.

Our first CCP stop was in Glen Rose, at the Somerville County Courthouse, built in 1893 in a Romanesque Revival style

Glenda sporting one of the new Cruiser Shirts for 2008 Carol & Jim capturing the Somerville County and Glen Rose city points

Virginia capturing the CCP points and posing with the bronze statue

David Gill grabbing the CCP Point We headed South out of Glen Rose on 56

Storie Sharp (Lead Writer), with the Glen Rose Newspaper caught us in action while we were out at Somerville County Court House in Glen Rose, TX

an unfortunate issue with one of the vehicles caused a slight delay in the cruise but the troops were great while we awaited a tow truck.

We proceeded on to the next town (Cranfills Gap), where we opted to stop for lunch.
The "Fairy Lodge" was across the street

Seeing a Bike out front with an Eagle paint job; we thought hum, maybe this is where we were suppose to stop; after all this was an "Eagle's Cruise"

While along the highway, a local recommended the "Horny Toad"

We pulled a few tables together to try to get our group of 19 sitting together. Sheri snapping a few pictures while we waited on our food

After lunch, we stretched our legs for a few minutes ...then it was time to load up and head out

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
