| | We met in the Lowe's Parking Lot in Mansfield, TX
| |
 | We headed out down Hwy 157, a fun, curvy back road | |
| | | |
 | The first stop was the Historic Courthouse in Waxahachie, TX - if you haven't seen this one, it is worth driving out to take a look at it after reading the history. | | |
| | | |
| | | From Waxahachie, we took the scenic back roads (curvy of course) to Ennis, TX | |
| | | |
 | We stopped in front of the Railroad Museum, lining up the rides for a few pictures. | | |
| | | |
 | | | |
| | | |
| and of course, there was a historical marker | | | the width of the rides was too wide for a total group and Vette shot, so we opted for a shot on the caboose |
| | | |
 | While there, we were visited by Ennis' Finest!!! | | |
| | | | |
 | ...and wouldn't you know which two got in trouble - Glenda & Ruth; Cheri was third | | |
| | | | |
 | The officers visited with us, admired the rides and took pictures with their cameras | |
| | | | |
|
 | We had reservations at Bubba's Bar-BQ in Ennis, TX. They of course have BBQ and all teh sides but you can have steaks grilled to order (even pick it yourself); they have seafood, hamburgers and all the normal American dishes | |
| | | | |
 | Tom had set aside teh private room for us however, it was reserved based off the 24 RSVPs - we ended up with 37 participants however; they adjusted and squeezed and we managed to get everyone a seat. Sheri did a great job waiting on us as well!!! | |
