Greenville Swap Meet will be
held April 3-5 at the Hunt County Fair Grounds
in Greenville, Texas. It is sponsored by the
Northeast Texas Region of the AACA. We thought

The Corpus Christi
Corvette Club and the U.S.S. Lexington
present
Vettes and
Jets on
the Lex. Join us as we
put 325 Corvettes on the flight deck of the
U.S.S. Lexington! This will be a 3-day event
consisting of Friday: an informal meet and
greet at the Radisson Beach Hotel. Saturday:
Corvettes on the Lexington and tours of the
Lexington with various aircraft fly-bys.
Sunday: A formal show-n-shine with awards
and tours of the Texas State Aquarium. These
events will take place on the 11th, 12th and
13th of September 2009. Each participant
will receive a 1of 325 T-shirt, a set of 1
of 325 military (dog) tags and an official
certificate certifying you and your Corvette
being 1 of the 325.
We will start accepting
entries via our web site: (www.vettesandjetsonthelex.org)
on Friday 01 May 2009 at 12:01am. Entry fee
is $125 for Saturday’s event and $30 for
Sunday’s event. Saturday is limited to the
first 325 entries and Sunday has no limit.
No early entries prior to 01 May 2009 will
be accepted.
This show is being put
together to raise money and awareness for
the Wounded Warrior Project. During this
event there will be several members of the
Wounded Warrior Project joining us along
with special guest speakers.
We are encouraging all to
join us as we celebrate America and say
thank you to the men and women of the U.S.
Armed Forces.

Azle Band 1st Annual Car Truck &
Bike Show - This will
benefit the kids of the Azle High School
Band. All proceeds go directly to help the
kids. Our program has grown to an astounding
250 kids and our booster club fundraises
nearly year around to pay for so many things
that they need.
We pay for things Bottled water for the
kids, College scholarships, Private music
lessons, Marching show props, Meals and
snacks, Trips for competition, Instrument
repairs, etc. Please look over the attached
flyer and you will see that this will be a
large show with a lot going on. There will
even be performances by some of the band
members.

at Freedom Chevrolet in Dallas,
Texas. All proceeds benefit the Scottish
Rite and Shriners Hospitals. We would
absolutely love to have you guys here with
us to celebrate and help raise money for a
great cause. Admission is absolutely free
and registration/entry fees are FREE too! If
you have any Chevrolet (or GM) cars to enter
into the show, we are giving away $2000 in
cash and prizes. We will have approximately

The Bowles Life Center will again host its
Annual Trunk or Treat event
on Friday, October 30th from 5-8 p.m,, and
we are still in need of more cars to fill
the parking lot !!! The Bowles Life Center
is Grand Prairie’s newest recreation center
that is located between Dallas and Ft.Worth
off of I30 at the MacArthur exit.
We
attached the event flier. This year we are
having “A Custom and Classic Trunk or Treat”
and are welcoming car clubs from the
Metroplex area to join us. Please let us
know if you or any of your members are
interested in bring a car over to distribute
candy to the youth. The event usually draws
300-400 people. This is a great event for
the whole family to enjoy a safe Halloween.

Dear Cruisers,
Please consider joining us as we celebrate
Veterans Day on Sunday, November the 8th.
It is a small thing to show our support and
appreciation for the men, women and families
who have given of themselves to keep our
country free. So tell all of your buddies to
grab their lawn chairs and bring their
favorite classic or custom ride to Keller,
TX for a celebration that will do just that.
There will be plenty of food, games and jump
houses for the kids, a military band, an Air
Force flyover, classic car show, concert,
MMA exhibition, and much more! Guest
speakers will include Brig. Gen. Robert S.
Arthur, and the Founder of the North Texas
Veterans Association, Dr John King. Car Show
participants will receive 2 free meal
tickets with every registration ($10). Cool
prizes and trophies too! Check out the

register after you arrive. Please alert all
your members, we understand that not all
will be able to attend but we encourage any
that can attend to do so. Also don’t forget
